If you look at it dispassionately, does it matter that it is high rise ? The pigs wont know or care. If it's more energy efficient than an identical set up being spread out single story over 26 times more land, why not ?

Could make for a very efficient slurry system, powered entirely by gravity.👍

It wouldn’t be my cup of tea, but I can see why it needn’t necessarily be any worse for animal welfare than any other indoor pig unit.

Farm down the road now milking 1500. Pretty as a picture they are. There's loads of reasons to be concerned about fewer and bigger farms - critical mass, food miles, disconnect between producer and consumer - but animal welfare isn't one of them.
Watch a guy on youtube has thousands of cows in America, says everyone hates large farms and wants any excuse to get them into trouble so he keeps his welfare as high as possible and very diligent, says they can never get passed a certain numer of cows per employee ,,, 1000cows ten staff 1000 cows ten farmers , surpose 1000 cows ten staff more efficient ,,,, maybe

Gravity fed to the bottom, then presumably pumped out on to crop land.

From 26 storeys high you wouldn't even need a pump. Be a bit of back pressure for the poor fella that has to clear the dead pig out that's blocked the pipe though.
