I have just had this bought to my attention.
Red tractor survey to ‘inform’ the reviewers.
first I have heard of it, nothing in the latest member matters, on any email or on social media.
feels like they are trying to keep it quiet as usual.
My Neanderthal brain was wondering if there’s anything new with ploughs? We currently have a 5 furrow slatted body in furrow Lemken Europal fitted with subsoilers. We use it with a furrow press.
If I was to replace it this year should I go with the same or is there anything better? Is it better...

What would you like from SFI for a late Xmas gift. I include CS because they will merge in time.

We have some 4" square wood posts set in concrete which are rotting off
any idea how to extract the post with out lifting the concrete?
a couple have just pulled out whole but the rest would sooner break off leaving a nice rotten stump in the hole.
My thinking then to cement in a steel met post...
I'd be interested to know how the wheat is looking that went in in the frost three weeks ago.
Also which method was used, broadcast, combi , direct? I'm asking as I would like to still get some in if we have another frost ,being as the seed is in the shed.
Well isn’t it?
If you can grow 4t per acre of wheat then isn’t the carbon footprint per ton less by virtue of the fact you’ve spread the fixed part of the carbon cost in growing the crop over more tons.
This fact begs the question of what to do with marginal land. It would suggest it should be...
Has anyone any experience or information of mounting a Lely Polymat on a Khun 4003 power harrow (or any other p.harrow - other than a Lely) reason I ask is unlike most other combi. drills - which use a standard A frame set up, the Lely appears to use a floating linkage & dimensions are all...

A potential anaerobic digester just up the road from me had its Planning Committee meeting yesterday. They had already approached me to grow crops for them & take digestate back. I would prefer a break crop if possible. The farm has a significant blackgrass burden. Mostly brashy soils prone to...
