Worse.... it is only a diesel, nothing special. And 318 hp less than the aforementioned Defender v8.There is a Ford ranger on autotrader by a company called deranged. If you search price high to low it’s the top one. £84k and it’s sold! Some hideous purple thing too!
Have you seen the type of person that generally drives a deranged edition. Enough said..!Worse.... it is only a diesel, nothing special. And 318 hp less than the aforementioned Defender v8.
Just like the local school bus, used to be a 28 HP Bedford, now about 500 HP foreign thing, kids still got to school in both. Not knocking any one, but how the f**k did we cope with a series 3 or turbo 90s?
Easy, sold it and brought a Patrol or Landcruiser!!!Not knocking any one, but how the f**k did we cope with a series 3 or turbo 90s?
Equally with electric cars, anything beyond 75 kW is purely Willie waving!!!What a pointless engine in this day and age.
30 years ago great but things have moved on .
Was in Merc the other day looking at a car they has a g in there 166kThe £100k Defender is a v8 with 518hp!! It is also £40k cheaper than the Mercedes G wagon G63.
It could almost be seen as a bargain!
512hp ok if you have a private race track or live in the remotest of areas@lloyd , motoring is guilt free. Fuel tax is punitive i.e you pay to play, it's not our fault if the government doesn't utilise the funds raised to address the problem penalised.
Off topic anybody know if you can get a towbar for a e class 300de hybrid? Was in a dealer today, 90K for a 300hp brick not for me, even though it did come with a towbar
nowt wrong with the nissan td42 trucks. navaras however......In the 1970's I had an early Landcruiser that had to be dragged back by a Land Rover in Western Australia as they had a design fault where the bell housing was vented and the dust got in and eventually wore it away!!
They did get much better though, unlike the Nissan!
Cummins swopped Patrol!!!nowt wrong with the nissan td42 trucks. navaras however......
theres plenty about, i know of 2 locally. y61 swb and y60 lwb. both swapped from 4 cyl engines. td42 turbo is as good as a 6bt anyway so wouldnt swap one of themCummins swopped Patrol!!!

That's what i thought when our 90 was traded for a double cab pickup and after a 200 mile journey i was warm, dry and could still walk! Not knocking any one, but how the f**k did we cope with a series 3 or turbo 90s?
