Doubt the Aussies will touch it ... or Land Rovers come to that.
No one in their right mind would venture in to the outback with either
A land rover will take you into the outback alright. Just you will need a land cruiser to get back again….
70 Series Landcruisers aren't cheap but you pay for what you get.Not a footballer, a landrover, there as ugly as sin anyway, only mule ewe lmb boys can afford that price.
Would not the 12v Cummins B series engine have been a better choice?Hopefully, the Grenadier will have sorted the Land Rover problems, different engine and transmission.
In a similar vein, I had a Landmaster ordered in 1984, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_Master , but they couldn't deliver it with the Perkins 236 as promised, so I bought a Landrover high capacity pickup instead. Think the Landmaster would have been more interesting though!
Agreed, I would have liked to have seen the Cummins in it.Would not the 12v Cummins B series engine have been a better choice?
Not knocking any one, but how the f**k did we cope with a series 3 or turbo 90s?The £100k Defender is a v8 with 518hp!! It is also £40k cheaper than the Mercedes G wagon G63.
It could almost be seen as a bargain!
What a pointless engine in this day and age.The £100k Defender is a v8 with 518hp!! It is also £40k cheaper than the Mercedes G wagon G63.
