A land rover will take you into the outback alright. Just you will need a land cruiser to get back again….

In the 1970's I had an early Landcruiser that had to be dragged back by a Land Rover in Western Australia as they had a design fault where the bell housing was vented and the dust got in and eventually wore it away!!

They did get much better though, unlike the Nissan!

Someone close to here has just had a new short wheel base one. Says it tows very well but more thirsty than the old one. Traded a double cab 13 plate in for it and got what he bought it for.

Hopefully, the Grenadier will have sorted the Land Rover problems, different engine and transmission.

In a similar vein, I had a Landmaster ordered in 1984, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_Master , but they couldn't deliver it with the Perkins 236 as promised, so I bought a Landrover high capacity pickup instead. Think the Landmaster would have been more interesting though!

Would not the 12v Cummins B series engine have been a better choice?🤔

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
