Nothing except I would like to have more coulter contouring. It's only for sale if I can get a decent price for my Claydon.

That's my biggest worry with the Claydon too. I'm hoping Jeff is still working on something that will allow more even seed depth on undulating ground. To be fair the DTS is a very good well though out drill designed by people who actually use it. The trash handling capability was my biggest concern but this has been discussd at length so I won't dwell on it now.

Once you have your ground level the Claydon does a fantastic job, the hydraulic pressured coulter drills are not so good in a wet spell as all that pressure causes clay soils to form a ditch in the shadow of the a share. If you back off the pressure then depth can vary between coulters.

It would be ideal to run three rows of coulters on the trailed drills, allowing good trash ability but the option of narrow row spacing with less disturbance. IMO of course!

Brisel - you've made the right choice. Don't worry!!

I drilled 320 acres into chopped wheat straw, and it blocked once. The reason? A black bin liner got caught up and dragged a load of chopped straw.

It's emerging now, and I'm pleased with it. Yes, some is up an inch, and others are just poking through, but give it another week and it'll even up.

Drilling spring beans today, not getting enough soil back into the slot so I've moved the covering wheels round...

Interesting idea, can you let us know how it goes? Are they designed so they can go that way round if necessary @sumo ?
Going better, though I think I will do a shallow pass with the power harrow to make sure all the seeds are covered. I suppose a rake would be ideal but we haven't got one. Leading tine on its shallowest setting, coulter about 5mm less. 10k.
