3rd party autosteer on an MF 8S ?

Has anyone looked at 3rd party autosteer that drives the steering valve directly on an 8S? Was at an 8S 245 tonight, all over the CANBUSes but no sign of the steering valve at all. It has an extra screen for guidance, but the seller removed all the GPS kit leaving just the VDO4 behind. Hoped to steer it with AOG, but for not seeing the valve, I'm wondering if perhaps it's not even on the CANBUS?

But then again the AgraGPS manual suggests all they do is pretty much remove the VDO4 and connect to the 2 CANBUSes on the plug. Am looking at the logs just now, to no avail.

Anyone know how this is done perhaps? Strongly suspecting like FendtOne and new Gen5 Valtra that a 3rd-party steering unlock is required :/

Cheers!

On the 7s and 6616 steering ready for that matter, we have the speed steer on for auto steer not the steering valve button. So the canbus output from the aog is jumping the speed steer communications. We can’t make it work with steering switch.

At this point we still haven’t been able to find the steering can circuit on the 6S, I think we need to do some sniffing.

Oh, there's a thread on AOG discourse for 7s. 6s is the same, you should find all the info there.

Raymond found it in pins 7 and 8 but they're empty on an 8s. 8s an entirely different beast apparently...

Going to look again as it's suggested there's a bung behind seat that hides the major diagnostic plug with all buses on it

I'd be surprised if you can't find all the relevant buses on a J1939 connector somewhere.

Looking at the configurator it seems like there's no 3rd party unlock beyond the initial steer ready option.

Exactly... Obd connector has one, diag j1939 has one, two on the 16 pin CPC and two on vdo4. Might take out the storage tray next to radio as one of the 3rd party installs suggests x230 is hiding in there ..

Do iirc correctly on the Fendt One's people were having to cut into the Canbus wires as there was no plug, although I think someone found one under the passenger seat that was not shown in wiring diagram.

We've fitted Trimble third party guidance to maybe half a dozen 8s'ssss.
But if I told you where we connected I'd have to kill you.
Can't actually remember, it's been a while since we did one.

X230 in compartment next to radio? Multi plug behind seat ?
