I bought one about 3 years ago. Was in the early days and it wasn't ready. Worked OK ish in silage but ha y or haylage was hopeless. They manufacturer and the dealer were good and tried to sort it with some redesigned drums. But it just wouldn't do the job.
Went back to the importer.
However watching a video of the new version it does appear to of been redesigned so hopefully its better now.

You mean the agronic or fransgard. Yes i dont do silage, only hay and haylage and thats my worry. As you would think if it can pick up wet grass it should pick up dry stuff?!
Yes iv been told i can have a demo of the agronic but iv also seen this fransgard front rake to.

Agronic was the one I bought. I would suggest getting a demo.
Round bales are easier than square. We make mini hesston haylage and finding a gap through the bales at headlands was difficult. Bad enough with a big baler but put a rake on the front and was a recipe for disaster.
I did have a fransgard on demo and with hindsight that would of been a better machine for my job.
Also remember a big baler wont follow the row going round corners. Great care has to be taken or expect blocked pick up reels.

Thanks. Yes a dealer said will give me a demo but all I see is vids of wet grass or mainly in rows not tedded out dry grass that will be my situation. Also I guess the rotor speed can be adjusted by oil flow as if the rotors are going to fast I guess the hay would be flying all over lol.
The thing I like about the agronic is that it’s more compact than the fransgard as that sticks out more and needs tines and guards folding down every time get to field where agronic goes straight to work I think.

Main problem we had was the plastic tines went under the hay and struggled to drag it into a row. Agronic made some new drums with an extra row of tines a bit higher up which helped. The new drums look better. Also the new ones fold up whereas ours didnt so access to some fields off tight lanes was extremely tight!

Have a look at these. They are very effective
Yes seen them but to big for what I need. As do small bales plus now got round baler want machine to do both.

Yes there is some black ones I think further up the drum. Think only way is to demo it. You must have had the 600 model as I’m looking at the 500 and dont think that folds up just slides on rams to narrow to 3m for road.

Looks a nice rake.

We've been looking at getting a SaMASZ Twist next year:

Allot of our hay is normally wilted 24 - 48 hours without turning so thought it might help reduce a pass - and it would help to have a larger rake.

I don't know how it compares to the ELHO V-Twin 600?

Looks to big for my needs. As with small baler want small row but round want big so either the agronic or fransgard is option.

The design is basically copied from Elho. If done right, it should be good.
