May 21 @ 10:00 am – 11:00 am
Interested in sheep and cattle health and welfare across the four nations of the UK? This webinar is for you.
Ruminant Health & Welfare (RH&W) is the new independent, industry-based body helping those who work with livestock to tackle ruminant disease, and build health and welfare status, resilience, and production efficiency.
As part of efforts to identify priorities and build the collaborative energy to generate change, RH&W ran a survey at the end of last year about priority diseases and syndromes on farm and at a national level. The survey asked the views of those at the grassroots of farming – farmers, stock-keepers, vets and other professionals in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland – and AHDB has helped RH&W to analyse the results and host this webinar.
Chaired by RH&W’s Nigel Miller, a farmer and former vet, the webinar will give an overview of the survey results, then outline the priorities and how they’re going to be tackled. Those with an interest in health and welfare of cattle and sheep, those funding research in this area or businesses working in cattle and sheep health and welfare are encouraged to attend.
