Amazone Cayena user opinions

Looking at a 6m one of these for use in shallow min till and direct drilling situations. We have heavy soil with few stones in and some slopes.
How do people find the drill for build quality, ease of use and quality of work, I’ve got 160 hp, would that be enough to pull it at a reasonable rate?

I demo’ed 1, really liked the drill in terms of Amazone quality and ease of use but it is fixed rigid over the full width, I’m on rolling hills so didn’t like that and also in damp situations the ribbed tyres compacted the seed zone too much and esp on the headlands where it lifted on to 4 wheels. If you’re on heavy land it might be a problem.

I ended up buying a new type Weaving Sabre tine and very happy with that choice

I have used one for the last 3 years, its an easy drill to pull. We use it on a 270 an it handles it no bother on everything from heavy to light ground and we have some decent hills too, stones dont bother did have an issue with stones getting caught between the wheel but they have added abit to stop that from happening that works well.
build quality is good our got extra bits welded on this winter but i forgot to ask why was an amazone mod though.
it does ploughed ground, shallow min till and direct drilling cant really fault it in anyway it is pretty heavy though

Had one for a few years now. Load up and go. Light soil with one heavy hill. Can still pull it on the heavy hill at 11k loaded with 175 case. Only thing is if it’s too wet will very rarely bung up with trash. On the fen I go around 16k could go faster if wanted.

Have run one for the last 2 season and i have been impressed with it. Doesnt take a lot of pulling and will run in all situations. Build quality seems good as well. We run it on a fendt 933 it runs on tick over, plenty of stones and hills here, and goes well. Could run it on either our 270 or 235t but the fendt is the drill tractor.

Ran one for 4 years now and hoping to swap for one with front discs , twin hopper fert down spout on 50%.
Easy to calibrate and use does like a level seedbed , on Metcalfe legs which are good with the adjustable seed tubes and changeable points rather than original leg .
It is heavy turning on the transport wheels we tend to drill headland last for that reason when a bit damp , the GPS shutoff works well in those conditions also.
Nice simple drill , pull with 240hp, when damp tyre scrapers act like handbrake but if it's dry we have used 160hp no problem.

I think @Brisel ran one in a previous job.

Next door to me have 2 and seem happy, another neighbour has just swapped one for a Avatar.

I only demoed one. I was a bit lukewarm about it but we were min till at the time and it didn’t fare well in the field we tried it in - a Topdowned spring barley stubble with chopped straw which wasn’t going to be easy. A local farmer near Pimperne had one for a while before moving to a Weaving GD and spoke highly of it.
