I used a bottle last year as I had a handful of ewes with quads despite all being scanned as triplets which kept getting twin lamb in the week before lambing. Without it the majority of the quad bearing ewes would have died. I'm sure there are cheaper alternatives but it's a handy and very convenient tool in the box.

I’m not one for spending money on every daft thing about but the women folk of the organisation thought they’d try it, because one of them does have a urge to spend money on all sorts of useless sh1t!! An I have to say I gave it to a ewe that was a definite no hoper an to my surprise she came round!! I did give it everything else as well but it did have the look of death engraved on it, an I’m good at predicting doom!!🙄

I expect it's the propylene glycol that does the job. We use this stuff...........

I always have a litre of that sat in store for emergency use too, but would happily use that in the OP if the price was similar. It’s basically Prop Glycol with a few bits & bobs in, the Prop Glycol being the important bit for TLD.

Btw, you might want to hide your Ketosaid drum from the FA inspector @yellowbelly , it might be past it’s expiry date and become hazardous to health as a result...

Ive used it and to be fair it works a treat, and has an end you can stick a drench gun on,
We use the draw off cap that comes with Dysect cans on our Norbrook Ketosaid bottle.
smells like coconuts . .
Smells like peaches I thought, definitely fruity, might have a swig myself next time I’m feeling a bit twitchy!!
Maybe we should start keeping it in the bathroom cupboard (with the Ivermectin) instead of in the lambing shed :scratchhead:

Our vet sells Ketosaid, far cheaper than a lot of a lot of magic drenches too.

I’ve never seen it in a merchant’s, probably not enough margin it?

We get ours from our local Downland merchant.
We get all our lambing supplies through them - Downland powdered colostrum is very good and their own brand lamb milk. Ketosaid is not under the Downland umbrella though - says Norbrook on the bottle.

Liquid feed is great for keeping twin lamb disease away
I agree, and would add that self help blocks are the same. We had to abandon liquid feed when the lorries got too big for our access.
Sheep naturally expect food to be in front of them all the time rather than a couple of pounds once a day.
