There seems to be a gap in size/output & therefore price between the smaller superior or wakely type bruisers to the next size. I’ve a superior SM3000 and it’s a fine simple machine that does 3-4t/hr I think two of them mounted side by side on a chassis with single hopper and single discharge auger would be a good machine.
I built 2x old Bentall bruisers together on a frame with an auction bought Kuhn fert spreader for a hopper on top for a local farmer, noisy dusty thing but can be loaded with a loader bucket & will bruise about 3>4tph if you remember to fill the hopper between other jobs, freshened the rollers up with the lathe when it was built, in terms of parts it was cheap grain processing considering its been going for about 15 years, 1x bruiser he had, 2nd he got from a neighbour & the fert spreader was £70 & some galv 3" angle iron he had lying about & my time.
Was revolutionary for the client at the time but it fairly dimmed the lights when switched on.
