Same here, they asked for maps of intended areas of AB8 and AB9 a few weeks ago, not heard any more yet.
Hope we get it as we have left all these areas unsown atm

Tell them to shove it, get the plough out and drill corn!😍😍😍

Last year we were asked for an supporting accountants letter in October then we didnt hear until April and then it had to go back as they got it wrong!
This year weve just had the same request foran accountants letter so expecting simialr timescale for approval.
Bloody annoying as it means you lose any chance of completing any hedge works until September of the first year so you only get 1 1/2 years instead of 2

I think I heard quite quickly, drilled my ab15, plus bee mix and over winter bird seed.
Nothing grew, agronomist thought I drilled it too late, slugs were evident, then Ukraine happened I put it all back into spring barley, and informed them I am out.
The bloody seed prices are too steep to redrill in my opinion.

I think my agreement was finalised in May this year, having been applied for in July last year and having already started on 1st January. I don't suppose I'll get a five month extension on the capital works though 🙁

I applied for HLS last year and heard nothing from July until April 22 but agreement was back dated to 1st Jan 22 . Because I had planted crops so was August 22 before I could do anything. However my agent says that I can apply for an extension to the capital works in the spring and 99 % certain of getting it as it was their problem in not getting agreement sorted by 1st Jan .

Application (fair amount of. AB8 ) went in Feb 2021 for a start date 01/01/2022.
Only received offer April 2022.
Ridiculous amount of time to get an answer and difficult with planning forward.

Application for Hls in by end of March 22 not heard a thing so far- have patches in fields ready for nectar/pollen & bird feed drilling in spring 23- have drilled w barley in fields that will be going into reversion

I applied in July 2022 but do not expect to here before April but could be surprised

my agents say they have never had a scheme turned down so plan for it to be approved
most options can be put in after next harvest although I do plan to put options in place if a spring crop is planned for the field

But the AB8 did not have to be established until Autumn 2022, so presume you grew a cash crop for harvest 2022?

this is my understanding so have left areas planned to be ab8 and ab9 to drill in the spring
I may be wrong but although likely I don’t think these schemes are guaranteed to be approved and it all depends on uptake and money available for the year.
