Or I am lucky I escaped without a smacking. Hare coursers assaulted one farm worker on a farm near us last week. There's some nasty groups around at the moment.

Oh yeah I know, was just being silly. If they don't become threatening then they come back and set fire to your straw, or worse. Have to keep a distance and involve the police, thankfully they are reasonably responsive here.

The spreader test was meant to be today but not now till Tuesday, will start on osr and wb then and weather/conditions permitting hit some of the more needy looking wheat and triticale afterwards. Winter cereals in general around here are looking pretty good so no real rush.

Might venture out on barley later, although wind is forecast .
Monday mornings on a livestock farm isn't ideal for getting out on the tractor, as plenty of bedding and feeding to do first.

Looks like the land will dry out tomorrow, and the wind drop, for exactly 5 hours of daylight spreading, before the gales and inevitable rain arrive.

I thought that, few bits of standing water left in the wheat are going to dry up for about a day. Then get filled up again Thursday and Sat

Started on some osr this afternoon furthest from the farm and grazed by pigeons (gas guns been playing up!), urea at 187kg/ha.

The forecast is not looking dry and settled for March, so no rush here apart from a bit to keep barley moving, hopefully in next week.

Bugger off. I was spraying all weekend. Rounduping grass.
Well I was in the mornings, but had to fit in football Saturday afternoon and Bangor on Dee point to point on Sunday afternoon.
To be honest, before joining this forum, I wouldn't of even been thinking of putting fertiliser on in February. Plenty of winter left yet.:D

Barley needs a bit of perk. And aiming to get 70% on by / at GS31, and if I only put a bit on now then will be spreading masses of bulk in a fortnight.
