Probably been covered before but, Has anyone had any trouble applying for a bounce back loan with Barclays? I’ve been trying to contact my local ag manager but not returning calls, filled in the call back on the website but nothing yet. Not impressed! Has anyone had better luck with other banks?

Had no issues whatsoever. However, we are Barclays business customers, which may make a difference.

With NatWest and it was quick. I have quite a new business account with them and about a month before these BB loans I got a letter requesting more business info. If I hadn't filed out this I suspect the loan might have been held up.

applied back when they started. Money in account 3 days later, and out again.
Friend at bank said they were keen to get them done as backed by govt so no risk.

If you have not applied for the bounce back loan before can you still apply?
Just looked this up and I’m not sure that’s correct.
There’s a table about half way down this page saying only one bank will allow new customers to apply, but it could be wrong.

20k in bank within 48hrs of applying, that was right at the start of it though.
Natwest here for the farming business- 5 min application and the money was in the bank within 48 hours. Couldn't have been simpler.
Involved with another business that banks with HSBC and it's woeful. Application fine, acknowledgement fine and then nothing.

We were told by our barclays Bank manager that the system will automatically reject it if they haven't got a copy of ID on file for everyone named on the account/ in the partnership and all contact details correct and up to date when the application went through.
He advised us not to apply until he had checked everything was right behind the scenes, he came back to us and said we were missing 2 IDs (the two older partners), we just scanned them and sent them across by email and it was sorted in minutes. Applied for the loan and it was in the bank 2 days later.
