Hi very interesting.
How did you approach planning permission and did they raise any particular concerns.
Was it all under your permitted development.
Do you just have to keep exactly the same external dimensions.
Thanks

we have a plan of where everything is and will push them up above the board it has 40mm insulation on the back so should not lose any or it will be a case of unscrew a roof sheet and sort it from above
After cutting the holes I painted the inside with liquid epoxy resin to save the substrate if & when the lights fail. V glad I did too as ten years on some of the LED lights are comig to the end of their life.
Regretting not doing this with other lights in ordinary PB.

The down lighters the electrician has organised are only 12 MM profile and they do not need to be cut into the plasterboard so as long as the cables are in the correct place we only need a 10 mil hole for the wire

The external dimensions of the original building cannot be increased whatsoever the permitted development is supposed to be a simple process but local planning authorities don’t treat it so and the application needs to be precise and ensure it complies with all the regulations
I would advise that the alterations to the existing building are kept to an absolute minimum this should help in the approval process

Creative use of building and good job being done again.
where did you get your windows made and what style /form are they please?
. The windows are UPVC and the larger frames have a steel reinforcing insert and they are flush casement so they look flat on the outside almost like aluminium

I bet you got a few leaves in those gutters ;)
Spent 4 hours yesterday on a ladder clearing the gutters of a shed here :scratchhead:
They are not to bad at all with being a big section and only 2 joints each side , I usually fill an IBC with water and turn tap on and lift to roof line with handler and flush them out to one end
