If I needed a baseball bat when walking cattle I'd either change breed or give them up!
You obviously haven't had limousines, not that you need it but one fine day when calving that you do need it if you are not carrying something then it's too late, it's not like cattle that are handled every day like milking cows, our cows are in cubicles for the winter & many will not pass you by without their daily scratch on their backs but there are always a few that you can never tell until they calve that would have you on the ground in two seconds flat as you put iodine on their calf & try to drag them to a better spot, far better to "be prepared" as they say in the scouts.
