Best investment is a a few tubing kits, and Milton sterilising tabs in the wash-up kit. Make sure that dopey lamb, or each of the triplets has had good colostrum administered in clean conditions.
Used biosuper once between ewes in the pens and found lambs starting to cough/get a bit wheezy, stopped when we stopped using it in the pensUsed to muck out each time, but now sprinkle dry disinfectant (Biosuper) in the pen after each ewe and re-straw. Gives a much better bed and saves a lot of time mucking out.
Well there's a few more things we are going to find out if we can do without before long ,the way costs are going! We used to give spectam to every lamb then last two years vet said try to lessen usage, sold us two bottles told us just give to triplets or anything short of colostrum, only used one bottle and never noticed any problems, once again good colostrum is key. Makes you wonder what else we've been paying for that we could do without
