As above any recommendations feel as though I’m being robbed again on my renewal
have had numerous conversations and sent them all nfu renewals so they can quote like for like and they have never bothered to get back to me- complete waste of time in my opinionAcres in my experience so far - can’t recommend @Nigel Wellings and his team highly enough
I’m the opposite. Had them quote 3 times in past 5 years and never been able to get anywhere near to broker i’ve always been with although they have since been taken over by Marsh Commercial.I had a shop round for quotes. NFU still cheapest for me.
Been with Marsh since they took over my previous company Bluefin. Until now and have gone with someone else who quoted a grand less and had no hesitation off moving not because of the price but Marsh just assumed that they could have the business. No personal communication for the last two years……local office not responsible for claims or renewals. So gone with brokers who are local and listen to your needsI’m the opposite. This year was the furthest out they’ve been.
Not to say they won’t be better come claim time though.
I’ve stopped getting quotes off Nfu,last time they were double.I’m the opposite. Had them quote 3 times in past 5 years and never been able to get anywhere near to broker i’ve always been with although they have since been taken over by Marsh Commercial.

Clive wasnt Nigel part of F&M years ago?Acres in my experience so far - can’t recommend @Nigel Wellings and his team highly enough
It is always a touch disconcerting when you get one ringing endorsement for a firm, and then posts from a couple of contributors not noted for being idiots, saying "Didn't respond/couldn't be bothered", etc.
You are quite right, I set up Acres in 96, sold it 2011-2014, corporate ownership didnt work for me, and set up Acres 2018.Clive wasnt Nigel part of F&M years ago?
