Best not to pre em?

Forecast wasn’t brilliant before but now this forecast.
I was going out with pre em this afternoon but I guess it would be a mistake?

After 70mm that started about an hour after application I am sure most of my friends bean pre-em is now approaching the Bristol channel

The herbicide needs time to bind to the soil particles. Even a day or two would help.

Well, I sell two thirds.
Storage here is far more complicated here with the heat regarding beetles.
I don't like difficult harvesting
Pre ems can be cheaper than trying to make a silk purse in spring.

Not really .

A lot of soil particles from Shropshire are also half way to the Bristol channel after the weekend torrentl!

We don't do pre ems with heavy rain forecast , but we don't have bg , but then again neither does the OP

Well lack of blackgrass would be a big factor in the desision but can’t see the relevance of the grain being for home feeding or not

You don't need beautiful clean crops , the cattle don't care , costs v output .

After making so much progress on the blackgrass front I’d rather the chance at more control as we’ve seen sod all in post em. But how much is ‘too’ much rain!

You don't need beautiful clean crops , the cattle don't care , costs v output .

Well it needs to be harvested and dry without yield penalty and building weed seed bank
