Best place for a shorthorn bull?

Mountbenger Shorthorns in the Scottish Borders keep good genuine cattle reared on a hill place, and George is a real good guy.

Mrs Landers at Cairnsmore at Newton Stewart has good stock too, again from a hill place.

They're two of the places I'd go to first if I was looking for Shorthorns
Another vote for Jane Landers....just don't take the kids/mother in law/vicar along. Language can be fruity.

Sounds like a fun day out 😂
Not sure about going to buy a bull, but when she's selling NCC tups at Lockerbie she comes across as an absolute fruitcake one of a kind!
She's a great lass, although various auctioneers have had a certain amount of difficulty with her potty mouth in public venues.
Heart of gold.

Stock is very sound...as well as being well prepped for sale, the family are properly good judges of what they breed.
(not that i know much about BSH, they also keep NCC cheviots and Belts)
I've not been to their place, but anyone can see from the pics that it's a pretty wet and tough place.
A lot of the stock lives out....and there, 'out' really means out.
