Not sure if some of the tail paints are scourable for use in wool?
Used to help someone who had a lotnof black Suffolk lambs and red and orange were best on them. White didn't last very long.
But marker paste is probably the best it doesn't fade nearly as fast. But a bucket does a lot and doesn't keep very well.
If you only have a small amount to do you can get raddle powder and mix how much you want with oil. The powder lasts forever.

For all that most wool is worth I wouldn't worry, I knew a guy who used to flock brand his ewes with gloss paint 🙂

Losing the revenue from black wool is definitely not worth worrying about

For all that most wool is worth I wouldn't worry, I knew a guy who used to flock brand his ewes with gloss paint 🙂

You'd think of all the people on here one that is in the middle of breeding his ewes up to shed their wool would have thought of that 🤦
Old habits die hard I suppose 🙃
