…and of course, there’ll be no fallout over Downing Street Christmas parties during lockdown this year. (One of) next year’s PR disasters nicely averted.👍

But yes, it’s a difficult call either way and jumping left or right would have been criticised.

I dont have access to the data so I cant make a judgement, there is a balance between the economic cost, the health cost of overwhelming the nhs and missed treatments plus the fear factor from a variant which appears to be less of a risk than flu.
He and every government are caught between a rock and a hard place, doesnt matter what they do some clever f**ker will claim it was wrong.
The OAPs being sent to old peoples home is a classic one, while a lot died where else could they go ? I've asked this question to lots of people not one has come up with an answer, we had my MiL here with us despite both working funny how all those on furlough couldnt be arsed .
As with all things covid time will tell
Boris's or anyone else's reaction's to the most recent variant aren't going to make any difference to the outcome, it's just harming more businesses.

Why would a virus get more deadly as it mutates?
I have no idea why there was any extra drama about this one, I can only assume they wee trying to distract the publics attention away from something else.

Tidal wave 🤷‍♂️

I guess it was the speed of transmission that worried everyone.
