We’ve got a quarter size shipping container in the back corner of the workshop to house power tools, chainsaws, etc. It adds another level of security and we try to put all tools away at night, so you can lay your hands on anything you need straight away. We have a light inside to help.

We built a strong room in our new one, inch thick flooring as the walls with racking in front of that screwed through the walls so they will have to get all the stuff off the racking cut the heads off the bolts then cut the flooring off, unless they have a chainsaw or circular saw with them they will struggle, proper security door too,

What is the main roll of the workshop repairs and servicing of machinery or is it fabrication shop to assist Be it steel or wood as they are two very different jobs and you have muddled the water slightly as to it’s main job as one minute it’s fabrication next lorry servicing
That requires different spaces layouts let alone tools ( sone tools will be shared) and health and safety requirements

It both really but say 75% of the time farm and lorry repairs and servicing. The rest of the time fabricating stuff but I’m tempted to build this shed then add a lean to on for fabricating in the future depending on work
