Can you have too much clover ?

Two years in on another ley that is a 5/6 yr ley.
This will be third cut . 2 cuts both yielded well and each cut it’s just had a good dose of pig slurry, no bagged N .
Maybe the pig slurry encourages the clover .

Have a alpaca paddock with loads of clover. Great for growing in spring. Runs away. Bad when it all dies back in autumn as the grass is thin and becomes really stodgy when wet. Might need draining but that what I find with to much clover. Leaves the grass a bit bare winter time.

Is it too late for stictching/ broadcasting in clover into a grass ley? We'd normally do this in August but harvest has delayed us. Always felt September was getting too late. But then again April is a long way away...
Mid September should be OK. If it decides not to germinate it will stay dormant in the soil till spring
