Case Afs 700 screen to Kuhn isobus

Just wondering if anyone could help. Looking at new fertiliser spreaders and currently have a Afs 700 screen in a maxxum 145 with isobus. Have never used it for isobus but considering getting a spreader without a box and using it through the screen. Is anyone using a Kuhn 40.2 through the same screen? Local dealer tells me it isn’t possible and needs to be a xcn 1050.
Had a vicon rep out yesterday who plugged a demo box in and seemed to work but with out some of the functions as was just a simulation. Thanks

Cheaper to buy but less trade in so horses for courses. quick google finds a few already without boxes. 6-7 yrs ago hardly anyone with gps, another 6-7 yrs who knows where technology will be

I'd expect in a few years time everyone wanting to avoid paying for another screen when they already have an isobus screen on their tractor (and this tool runs on isobus).

If your selling privately you may find someone willing to buy without a box
but if trading in,the dealer is going reduce price of machine to allow for buying boxes which will be dearer to buy seperatel

I recently looked at a sprayer without a control box for rate control and gps section control electro hydraulics etc. Manufacturer wanted 6k for it, buying it separately.

That was a Arag setup. Wasn't worth it. Also if your running autosteer etc through tractor screen how much spare space do you have on screen to run spreader also. Personally I would rather have 2 screens.

Jim75 checking on the iso database it would appear that all the kuhn spreaders will function on the 700 pro screen?

Not a great deal of help to you, but I run a Kverneland TL spreader on a Case AFS screen without any problems.

Shame , it cost them a sale. Think they wanted to sell a xcn 1050 screen as part of the sacgs. Ever so slightly cheaper than the vicon but used to run a kv myself and always liked them.
