Struggling to get our Heiniger explorer clippers to cut, despite cleaning thoroughly and oiling, they just seem to be combing the coat . What tips to get them cutting again?

Same issue here. Doesn't matter how sharp the blades or well oiled. It's just like combing the coat not clipping.

Mine started doing that. You would think there was no blade just the comb.

I just ordered a new Clipster today with the better head for cutting through dung. When I get a minute, I’ll look at sorting the heiniger.

is the cutter moving? i've just got my heineger back from being repaired as the cutter had stopped moving across the comb and just burred on the one spot

It's looks exactly like it should be cutting. But like zykon says it's exactly this comb effect it almost cleans the hair removes the dust... but no cutting the hair.

One set is constantly like that. And the other set jump between combing and cutting which is really infuriating.

Not cordless but if you are near enough to mains elct. and can handle the cord a Rambo mains from Willy Horner is a good motor in handpiece clipper very reliable , and no battery to worry about charging ,you would not regret buying one i reckon.
24v at the handpiece and cord to the 'stepdown box' so safer if that part of the cord is cut/there is a short ... not like 240v
....and 24v is more powerfull than 12v or 18 ...as well.
This is what I am looking at. I take it they would solidly handle shitty beef cattle? Its strong money but I can't wait to bung my old lister lazer in the bin.

Bought this 2 weeks ago. Fantastic so far. Battery is supposed to last 90mins before recharge. It’s done 200 plus tails since then. With 1 milking and another trimming we were managing to trim 1 per minute or half a row.
have never owned a pair before but seemed a no brainier considering profitability this yr. definitely a no brainer after using it.
