Christmas trees this year

Is Christmas tree shopping classed as essential shopping? I have got 500 being delivered on the 23rd November!! 😨

The government closed the loophole we were using to open today earlier in the week. Fortunately they made a special expedition for Christmas tree sellers thanks to Alberto Costa MP and Richard Underwood at Oakberry Trees who got the ruling through Parliament today.

No doubt there will be lots of huffing a puffing from those who have had to shut their businesses and don't see how essential a tree is 20th November but I'm glad of it as it should iron out the peaks in demand. Having everyone turn up at the end of lockdown (which might be later than 2nd December) at once is hardly in the spirit of reducing the number of people in one place at the same time for Covid reasons. Good luck!

Mrs Britt says that folks are buying trees early as they are fed up and starting Christmas early.
Real trees will be sticks by Christmas and Christmas will be even earlier than normal.
I've ordered less this year and am now thinking I've missed the boat.

Seeing the prices quoted in here makes me wonder why I'm dealing with fully grown forests....

Where are the prices quoted?

There is a lot of management involved in growing a good tree. Pruning, fertiliser, aphid control and at least one fungicide on ours.
