It matters if , as I understand it, the death toll was much much higher and covered up both for forewarning other Nations to take more decisive action earlier and it also begs the question whether China are now gaining economic benefit at the expense of the lives of citizens in the outbreak district and now around the globe. So yes it does

I think we are getting caught up in a propaganda war between the US and China. The Trump administration is busy pushing the cancelled phone numbers and the massive numbers of funeral urns being used in Wuhan though their propaganda sites. Whereas the Chinese population are being told it was down to the US military who brought the virus to Wuhan in October at the CISM Military Games the city was hosting. They actually name a cyclist Maatje Benassi as patient zero. The Chinese are also (as I assume the US and Russia are) trawling the web for conspiracy theories that they can then promote big time and get into mainstream media. So we now also have it's 5G, Italy started it, Covid originates from a lab in Wuhan or Fort Detrick. :banghead:

You do have to laugh sometimes. The Boris apostles, who laud his Coronavirus management, and excoriate individual hospital trusts for their failure to provide enough PPE. In other words, central government has nothing to do with supporting the hospitals and the trusts in this regards.
Then the same apostles attack Brussels for not having provided PPE for all its members ...........
When it’s comes to EU facts, the Boris boys sure can bend it like Beckham. Just like Boris, did in his days as a newspaper hack in Brussels.
