Just wondering if anyone has got a clh trailer just phoned up for a price and quite expensive compared to say ifor Williams? I want one of the clh trailers and put a sheep clamp on it to turn into a sheep handler trailer thing

I called in to see about a quad size sheep trailer and they were quoting the list price and said it would be cheaper from one of their dealers

When I rang them a few years ago, they even told me which dealer to go to for the best price. (y) Was a fella down your way, used to having to cut prices I think.

Made to last, best kit around at the moment as far as I've seen. Both Chris and Andrew are very helpful as are all their staff; if you tell them what you want to do, they may be able to suggest an add-on or adaption that will help. They've helped me with trailer stuff and loads of other things.

As for price, anything metal is up at the moment; but you get what you pay for, and a CLH will still be fine for you to use or sell on, when an Ifor is off to the scrappy. (y)

I got a 10 x 5 in January, it's a livestock trailer/general purpose as you can fold down the sides/remove and take off the roof. It's well built far better than an Ivor. I like it.
Thanks to everyone for replying I wanted honest answers so I asked here and got them. Yeah tepapa that's the one I want it will be so handy for me cause hopefully I can do all my sheep stuff with one trailer including handerling and being a builder IL be able to use it as a general purpose trailer as well ie keep plaster board dryer with the trailer lid on. Can I ask one question tepapa can you tow your trailer with quadbike?

I have a 5’6” x 7’6”, like you see filling the car parks at Builth ram sales. If I put it on the quad, it sits very low to the ground. I did have a jockey wheel on it, but it’s at slightly below the drawbar and caught the ground if I went over uneven ground when on the pickup, and would near constantly catch on the quad. The resultant half a jockey wheel was then no use to man nor beast.
I’ve recently bought a new jockey wheel, and welded a raised bracket on the drawbar that allows me to turn it through 90 degrees and lock it out of the way. I still wouldn’t bother putting it on the quad unless I was desperate though.

Trailer is well built, and welded together rather than held together with IW pop rivets.

Id say mine is a bit big to be towed by a quad at 10'x5' with a 2800kg weight limit. But it depends what size you go for.

Have a CLH high sided quad trailer. Dealt direct and all was good...transport was down to me though.

awesome little trailer, the ability to snatch a calf through the tailgate door has probably saved my skin a few times!

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.
