Any help much appreciated the NH CX6080 combine adblue system is giving us some serious headaches.
We have changed all adblue filters and its had a new sensor (ouch) but it still hasn’t cured it.The pictured error codes are showing. It completely went into limp mode today but after half an hour standing fired up again and finished the field as if nothing was wrong.

Unless you know a good independent mechanic, with the right tools, that can actually diagnose faults, then its probably the dealer.
Problem nowadays is, there's perhaps no one competent there either.

Its unlikely to go away just from blindly changing parts though.

After a quick forum search I see that two tone had the same error codes back in 2018 sounds like I may have to drain tank and flush system .
If he’s about he may be able to help.
One error code did pop up which said adblue injection failure so possibly a change of injector may help.
Or if all else fails unplug the bloody thing!

I had to jump start my cx as I’d left the light on on the seives overnight, it threw adblue errors in the afternoon and needed an error delete from the dealer laptop, they don’t like voltage changes apparently , I’d like the adblue deleted personally but any software updates reinstalls it they say

Get it deleted. You’ll spend thousands sorting it and it could come back next season. Our last NH combine had a seasons warranty and the adblue played up numerous times. After several visits the dealer told us it best to delete it as they’d had multiple issues with other machines. They organised it and we’ve had no issues since which is now 6 years ago.

Yes that’s exactly what I’m thinking does anyone know of someone who could do this Shropshire area?
Already spent a grand don’t want to spend another and be in the same position.

Hi @jed and thanks for sending me a pm regarding this.
I’ll answer it here so than anybody else with the same problem can see this.

The problems you show are pretty much Exactly the same as I had a couple of years ago. It was all caused by me “borrowing” some Adblue from a friend I was doing some contracting for.
Let’s just say he is a primarily a dairy farmer!!
It was old and obviously had some “dirt” in it!

What happened was it caused the problems you show, the year after and what you are experiencing and are showing on your Inteliview screen After About every 2 hours of Combine use, Wanting to go into limp home mode.

To keep going, the best thing was to shut it all down and stop the engine every hour and a half. Doing so makes the Adblue system “back-flush” to the tank. In effect this Also back-flushes the tiny filter by the dosing unit, allowing it to run happily for about another 2 hours.

The cure is to completely drain the Adblue tank and fLush it out with fresh water several times, letting it drain out of the tank drain plug (somewhere near the LHS of the engine ladder). Also, change that filter again, to make sure.

Be careful not to allow the Combine to go into Fully Limp-home Mode 3 times. Or you will need the dealer to come and reset it for you on Inteliview as it wont go back to full power at all.

You can use the wasted Adblue as a Fertiliser in a paddock. You will soon see where you put it!

One way to avoid this happening is to stop the engine and leave it for 5 minutes every time the problem shows on the Inteliview screen. When it restarts, it will still show a problem for about 10 minutes, but you will get full power and it will cure itself after10 minutes or so, for about the next 2 hours.

I wonder if that was a machine design problem or a dealer doesn't have any decent techs problem..
I wouldn't mind betting a lot of the problems arise from having the machine stood for 10 months of the year.
Do people drain the old stuff out and flush the system before the season?

No but they'd be wise to do so.

It is a good idea to run the engine each month and switch the air-con on full each time you do so.
Quite often in very cold weather, there will be an Adblue error code that shows up showing that pressure is not reducing and there will appear to be what looks like white smoke or steam coming out of the exhaust.
It seems to cure itself when the weather warms up.
