Hmmm , what happened here then , I believe this farm was built by vencomatic UK's owner to showcase their equipment and offer tours and be the "northern poultry campus "
Read about it in the poultry press a couple of years ago

I think the site was run by Wot a Pullet and I heard this week that they sold out to Noble foods, so I presume this is an asset Noble are disposing of to help pay for the purchase?

Does anyone know if it sold?

Still for sale on their website.

I think the site was only let to Wot a Pullet, but owned by the guy behind Vencomatic.

Even so, £7million for a 64k unit needs a lot more than 6 months of decent egg prices!
Im not in the egg job myself but could you not get a sustainable long term contract, maybe not as good as current price but something that would give you a reasonable return without been to big of a risk?

How long would you want to finance it over? Over 15 years at 7% interest you’d need to find £16/bird every flock to meet the repayments. I doubt anyone averaged more than £7/bird before finance over the last decade?

Obviously if it were on your doorstep you’d be doing all sorts of man-maths to try and justify it, but I can’t see it myself.
