Covid jab

Had my second covid jab today , no problems , and they were quite well organised - still I suppose by now they will have had enough practice . Pfizer - biotech . It must have been the real "oldies" day today . Quite apart from the obvious benefits to attending the clinic , I have to say I felt ashamed of myself for the bit of grumbling I do re knees , back etc . The piteous state of some of them , male and female was a revelation . There was one old chap there , belly like it could have been carrying twin B.B. bull calves trousers down almost to his knees , and a great colostomy bag hanging down outside his clothes , staggering along tended by his carer , little old ladies bent almost double , and with shaking hands and jaws - MS perhaps ? And through it all the staff there doing a VERY difficult job with care and patience . Very humbling , and a lesson for me , in being grateful for what I have ! ( Or perhaps what I haven't! )

Why ? It has something like 99% survival rate , two my mates had it one so called vulnerable said it wasn’t as bad as the jag after affect .

Only just had my first one. I was amazed how many young people under 30 were having there's. I guess it doesn't matter right now, they just want needles in arms.

I think youngsters can be done now if they live with someone who has been shielding. Quite a few that have been shielding may not develop a good immune response although they should have had at least one jab several weeks ago now. I think the logic is that lockdown eases, if there is spread, mainly in the unvaccinated youngsters, then it will reduce the risk for those that are still vulnerable if those they share a house with are protected.

Had mine at the local mass vaccination centre before it had even “opened” as it was them testing the site before it opened and doing the staff of the site they were running at less than 1/4 capacity but all the staff were looking forward to getting the site up and running

Had my second Astra Zeneca Friday, well organised except for the old biddy behind who was trying to push my bumper! It was not as if there was anyone else in the surgery!
Only thing is yesterday I had my first attack of gout, don’t suppose there is a link. Bloody painful, the gout!
My hypochondriac SIL rang up to say she was very concerned as she has a slight headache and thinking of going to doctors in case it is clot. It is only 8 weeks since her first jab and she is my age!

Precisely, there already saying it doesn’t fully work . Truth is they haven’t a clue so why everybody thinks a jab in the arm and everything will be back to normal is beyond me
Flu vaccine is 40-60% effective. My parents had theirs every year. One year when a particularly vicious strain was about they both caught it and ended up in hospital. Talking to my consultant nephew about it afterwards he said they would very likely have died if they hadn't had the partial protection. So they both had 10 years extra life.

What doesn't work? Those of us with livestock know only too well the difference vaccinations can make.... Look at the numbers of vaccinated and the falling cases in the UK and then compare that to the lower rates of vaccination and rising cases elsewhere in Europe, something is clearly working at the moment!

They clearly said on the news the other week they were unsure of how effective the vaccines were. I run a lot of cows and sheep and the only vaccine I ever use is for bvd on the cattle. The cases figures are made up as and when required. It’s all about control. People need to wake up to this scam

Male nurse colleague of my dialysis nurse cousin developed gout shortly after one of his jabs saw a photo of his foot looked horrendous coincidental maybe not.

Had my 1st AZ jab a few weeks ago. Was in Wilton town hall they did 840 that day. The nurse was explaining to me that they had a list of teachers, policemen and others in more risky jobs, if there was any vaccine left they just phone people and if they can get there they can have a jab.

I came away thinking that it’s a good job it wasn’t run by red tractor, think of all the pre jab updates to the herd health plan needing to be signed by the vet. :ROFLMAO:
