… who on earth puts these horrors on their tractor seats?

Dunno the name of the fella, but he's been spotted out in town after work still wearing his overalls

I insist on leather seat covers like that as it so easy to give them a wipe if oil or grease gets on them. No way would I tolerate the plastic covers that you tie on. Same on the digger, black leather seat. Horses for courses!

Would NEVER have leather seats in a tractor. Cold in winter & hot in summer

Heavy cotton canvas seat covers are very popular here, for work utes, tractors, headers, pickers, etc , even ag bikes & quads . . .

most manufacturers will even provide their locally sourced “branded” canvas covers, alongside the world wide fabric / neoprene etc ones in their catalogues.

PS - I hate velour or other synthetic fabric covers as well. In our environment, a “natural” material is much better

PPS - I couldn’t care less what colour it is. What it’s made from is far more important

Not sure I really see the point of seat covers.
Are you trying to keep the seat clean for the next owner?

most of these tractors come with some sort of velour or synthetic fabric on them.
This can be quite uncomfortable & sweaty in hot weather, even when the AC is going flat out.
They are also very good at absorbing any grease or dirt, which is then very hard to clean off. The lifespan of the fabric covering is generally less than the machine itself, so the cover also protects it from physical wear & tear.

so, the seat covers are there for comfort & also to protect the seat itself, regardless if you want to keep the machine for 10,000hrs or sell it al 5000

I Fitted one lately to both seats,I honestly prefer it over the standard cloth, but I still hate the colours of the inside of the cab in general,

i don’t understand why the hate towards JD interior colours ? tbh I really don’t care 🤷‍♂️

anyway, out of interest, what is that seat cover made out of, the actual material is of more interest to me than the colour ?
Thanks

Just a Preference thing for me I guess, I prefer the grayer coloured cabs like our deutz's have, but I prefer the 6250 in every other aspect,

Unsure on exact material would need to find the packet,
But seems resistant/easier to quickly clean grease and muck etc which is why I fitted it as I'm always covered in something!
