Is anybody else having to do it this year?
My 45 acres has quite a lot of chickweed in the bottom. Seems to be getting more each year. Its not really dense but I haven't walked every inch of each field, so I don't know what awaits me.
If I could cut it in the next few days then I'd probably get away with it, but it was drilled quite late 20th April, so it'll be end of the month or later if I leave it and I'm afraid that if we get a wet spell, the chickweed will bolt and cause problems. It's about 10 inches high in places so already above cutterbar height. I'm loathe to spray it but think it might be prudent to do so.
