My son was looking at Deutz 6130 today in our local dealership (UK) he says it seems a nice tractor he can have it on demo to try and the price seems fair. Has anyone got one and if so how is it.

I have a 6140 TTV . Like all modern tractors , plenty of buttons to get used to.
Its a good , versatile tractor, which is used as the second tractor here for spraying, fertiliser spreading etc, and have had it on the 5 f plough.
best to try one and see if you like it .

We have a high spec 2019 6130 TTV with a Stoll loader, its a very very well made tool, we bought it for our 16 year old to use as it has 50k air brakes , 4 wheel braking and 4wd braking and just under the width allowed legally, the only thing lacking is a little bit of power when in hills on road work towing heavy trailers, but it does well for a 130 hp modern tractor. When we first had it, we really thought we had done the wrong thing, a complete marmite tractor, you love it or hate it, my son loved it from the start and since he set up and personalised all the flows I have have come to like it too, although I enjoyed the simplicity of my 2017 Massey Loader tractor, this is far superior in build quality. I'm told its made in the 'Same' tractor factory, so if it has Same influences its as tough as they come ! You can buy this one in a few months if you want, as we do need more power. Our dealer is absolutely spot on, knows his stuff, makes a difference too !

As a 16 year old I had a Ford 4000 how times have changed. I think we will stay with either Claas or New Holland though.

Yes I had the same tractor at 16 , a Ropey old 4000 with a loader on it and a quarter turn in the steering before it turned and I would think I'm lucky to be alive , considering the things I did with it. But we didn't have to think about liability so much then , its all gone a bit barmy ! We do like the Claas, had a 630 Cebis it was lovely to use.

Yes in the autumn in England my son was carting stone with a Class 650 we had on hire watching him going down the road at 50 kmh was a bit of a worry. On New year's day my cousin got 15 tonne of Muck in her garden as the draw bar on a neighbours trailer snapped.
