Disc and bracket assembly

I have built a tine direct drill using Simtech tines and it has been working very well for a few years now.

I would like to use cover crops more and think I will need cutting discs in front of the tines in order to drill into cover crops.

I am waiting for prices on the Yetter extreme cutting discs and brackets. Any other suggestions for where to get them?

Or does anyone know of used ones available? Looking 12.

TIA

I think JJ metcalfe has started selling a rubber mounted disc assembly. Do you think you want a straight disc or wavy type?

As above; metcalfe will be the cheapest and easiest to just bolt straight on. Straight discs slice, wavy discs cultivate. Bigger the diameter the more effort they will take to penetrate. Beware though; too many will hold your drill out on anything but the lightest of ground.

Beever sales near Retford

I have imported stuff from the states from Yetter before. I imagine transport will kill it as an idea

I do have 12 of the below for sale. The discs can be run either way, the current way provides more tilth, running them backwards provides more of a cut slit effect. They fix onto 80x80 box. Thanks

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
