If the seeds are there but still green will that work?
Not in my opinion. As soon as you see a seed you’re too late unfortunately.

The seeds are there for next year, it’ll kill what’s there but what’s the point when next years seeds are already there, exactly why I think you are better going early, even if you do a couple years running! If the seeds are there but still green will that work?
I understand your point, but you won’t convince me, IMO 3rd week in April is ideal time most years give or take depending on the weather, bear in mind most people on silage now so too late thenIf you spray early when the docks are small or the weather is still cool the stuff just won't work. The weeds will go floppy very fast as they are dewaxed and lose a lot of water very quickly but the actual disruption in growth won't happen- the twisting of the stems will be far less pronounced and the docks will just stand back up again.
Believe me, I have seen it done more times than I can count and had to take the inevitable phone calls when folk did not follow my advice.
So long as the docks are not huge or have formed a seed head you will generally get good control of them with these products.

How did it work??Just had some sprayed. Doxstar pro. It seems to be doing the job. Will see how if they recover after we take a cut of hay.
Unless it's really bugging the hell out of you I wouldn't bother about dandelionsanything clover safe and will kill dandelion? able to go around doing the docks spot spraying but still need dandelion sorting in the fields with good clover content
What’s the best spray to kill docks in about 60 acres of older pasture land that’s been cut once about a month ago to but not kill the clover?
Silage it again...it will be reseeded in 2 years time but I’d like the clover for now as my sheep do well on itWhat are you going to do with the grass going on?
Dockstar kills clover doesn’t it?is Dockstar Pro and new one as regards Dockstar

Cheers...I’ve got some mcpaSquire ultra? Won’t touch the clover and will stall the docks until next cut.
Mcpa will do the docks just as much, might be cheaper but might slow the clover for a while.
Cheers...I’ve got some mcpa
Not long taken hay off so will keep an eye on things, seems to have cleaned things up very nicely but will wait and see.....just had a good load of rain so won't be long before any survivors show themselveHow did it work??
