eBay Scams

Alligator sheep yards on ebay, not sure but seems suspect. Thought I had brought them on a buy now, they sent a fake invoice suppose to be from ebay (looked real) from a fake ebay email address (according to ebay). Ebay said they will investigate but its still online and bidding is over £2k. If anybody is bidding I would take cash and be cautious.
Be VERY careful turning up with a known large amount of cash to collect goods. I have heard of scams for cars where doing this results in several beefy chaps relieving you of the cash but no kit being there.

I have had some very good EBay purchases but generally as in life, if it looks too good to be true it probably is.

I once emailed about a very nice (clearly American spec) JD tractor offered for £8k buy it now advertised as being located at "London". Said I live nearby and could I view it? Was told it was actually in Rotterdam but would be delivered to "London Docks" after payment of £2k deposit. I reported them and the listing disappeared.

As with that chainsaw ,what's the point of listing it? If you pay with Paypal, it can be set up so the seller only get's paid when the buyer gives feedback. None delivery or a problem Paypal would side with the buyer. Adverts from none EU countries stating VAT invoices will be sent! Any suspect item, ask a question, and that usually tells you if it's fake.

Just looking at a aft trencher that disappeared when I asked a few probing questions. Asked me for email for more photo s
If your looking for a trencher why not take a look at our CT150, a tractor mounted trencher to rival a self propelled machine.

eBay is getting worse by the day. Once of a time it was obvious but now with the cloning of other people's accounts and listings it makes it very difficult I judge. Always best to ask to speak the so called seller by phone or ask specific details about the item....usually no reply. eBay need to be on to it more.

Evilbay don`t give a fig. As long as they get their 10% FV Fee and then PP get their 3.4% they are happy.
Sadly there are also lots of buyer fraud/scams and EB always side with the buyer ...irrespective of how they have shafted the seller.

Very suspicious of this eBay item 201559189461 , other opinions please ? looks similar to a machine advertised last year & on asking some questions seller immediately says balance transfer only - doesn't feel just right.
