Einbock grass seeder problems

Hi all,
I just bought a used einbock 6m grass Harrow with seeder unit. It calibrated fine went 100m across field and all the pipes blocked with seed but not sure why. The air flow is ok but not amazing at the outlets in my opinion but not had anything to do with these machines before so not sure what it's supposed to be like.
The rate is 14 kg per acre grass seeds.
Any help tips etc greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Haven't used one but a seed rep told me they can have trouble at this time of year if the air is damp and the seeds stick and block the pipes. Maybe the fan is running slow or blocked cutting the flow

Electric fan?

Make sure the D plug is wired correctly. Its a series wound motor so if you reverse the positive and negative it will still blow but only half power.

I broke the plug on mine a couple of years ago and stupidly wired the new one wrong. Pipes blocked right away. Once I finally worked it out it was fine. There should be plenty airflow, never had a blockage under normal conditions

Only time we have had an issue is when we forget to put the fan on. I'd be checking for an air leak. Could the pipes have already been blocked when you bought it?
I've sealed up everything I can around outlets and the panel you remove for calibration.
Pipes were blocked when I got it but are all clean now.

Yes both seem to be working and I have put a new seal around lid
If the pipes and outlets are totally clean and clear to start with, really there can only be a problem of not enough air, or too much seed

Perhaps a silly question, but are you sure you calibrated it correctly?

Max speed for 14kg/acre will be about 10mph, but if you've got hectares and acres wrong, could it be putting 35kg/acre which at 5mph would be too much?

When you start to use it always leave the fan on just turn the seed on and off ,when i first used mine i used to forget and block it. Also if i was putting on 14kg I would do two times 7kg at different angles.

Worth checking the wiring at the motor to, tbh if your not sure id switch the connections in the D plug and see if the air flow increases. When mine was the wrong way round the air flow was pathetic.
Hi mate you were spot on changed the wiring over in the plug and it blowing twice as much if not more.
Hopefully that has done the trick but I can't try it now as it's pissing down its rain.
Thanks for all your help everyone.

Glad I could help. I spent 2 hrs in a customers field trying to figure it out. Its a good machine, sometimes it can be a bit of trial and error to get it set. Mine will tend to sow a kilo so per acre more than you calibrate it at with the scales. I took a permanent marker pen and marked the levels in the hopper after adding each bag which helps knowing what you've left.

Ideal thanks for that.
Might sound stupid but I've not used one before but what should I have the top stripper lever set at for grass seeds ( lever on right hand side) and the lever on the left I assume sets the speed of the roller some how to give correct output. It came with instructions but they are all in German 🙄🤦‍♂️

Think I had it set at 0. Which means the brush is just touching the roller but I've had it set at 1mm away in the past.

Yes the left lever speeds up and slows down the roller. This will be trial and error because it can vary greatly from different seeds. Majority of the seed I sow is HF seeds, commonest being hf11.

The setting for that on mine is between 23-25. Which will give around 15kg/acre.

Last year I was sowing and had it set at 24 and thought it was perfect, however this year I found i needed to increase the setting to 25or26. I mentioned to the seed merchant ,who also sows grass seed, told him I had to up the rate to get it the same as last year. He said he had to do the same, so looks like the seed can vary year to year so you need to be on your toes🤣🤣
