I used the WAG excel spreadsheet too. Its a bit late for you but I went on a couple of workshops where they went through the spreadsheet.

Can I lump fields together as one? We rent blocks of land and treat them exactly the same for each block.
For example, 50ha of maize in one block but might be 12 fields but they'd all get the same muck & artificial fert.

Don’t see why not, might just have to be careful of soil analysis if P is high or variable.

Gave up with PLANET years ago, it’s pants. Have spent the last few years cobbling together Greenlight grower and spread sheets, greenlight doesn’t do grass properly and no availability of N from slurry.

Had to get everything better for this year so have trialled Navi gate pro, I like it. Perhaps not the smoothest interface but it does everything and is not complicated. N max, N farm limit, manure exports/imports, organic manures, storage. The guys are really helpful on the phone.

Have just decided I will buy it, have an EA inspection tomorrow and NE have seen everything i’ve produced and no complaints yet.

We're not Wales but needed a nutrient management plan in the run up to an EA visit. Some programs haven't developed their grass module, some (including Planet) won't pull through the latest RB209 figures. Navigate Pro does all this and we're happy with it.

I think it’s going to be really useful, apparently it was really developed for agronomists but more and more farmers are buying it.

There have been many threads on the subject of Planet and the absolute opinion was second only to calving jacks (everyone says Vink) in its unanimity.
