Excavator bucket size for muck/compost

Have 8t digger and would like to build a bucket for turning/loading compost, it’s a mixture muck and chips so quite easy flowing. Just wondering how much bigger than a grading bucket it should be? I’m thinking 3x, not sure what cubic size that is, I’ll have to have a measure up, any thoughts or experiences?

We have an old bobcat bucket on a 14t Volvo. Your not digging with it so it doesn't need to be as strong, save some weight in metal that you can then fill with muck. You could get away with a bigger bucket for turning as you will be working closer, when you start loading trailers or spreaders you’ll probably need more reach. You’re better off not going to big and then moving quicker.

I recon something like they use on telly-porters for silage, depends on weight of bucket as some hold a one heck of a bite so between Bob-cat and Telly-porter ?.

Someone did post photos of their 360 with a telehandler bucket modified so that it would work nicely with a slew. I can't remember who it was. Looked a weapon of a thing. A 4 in 1 type bucket could be the kiddie and make clearing up a doddle. An old one off a scrapped 3CX would be smaller than a telehandler bucket and built to stick actual digging.
