Trying to export some kit.
Not done it before.
What do I need?
EORI number. What’s that?
Phytosanitary certificate. What does that entail?
Anything else?
VAT?

There’s plenty of ways round the certificate. Most tractors and telehandler etc go out as construction equipment and don’t need inspecting.
Anything to do with grass cutting can go as a lawnmower

Thanks. I’d think I’d be stretching it a bit to describe a combine as a lawn mower. Can’t see how I can get it absolutely free of every bit of residue either. The yard is a bit muddy where I’d load up and being certain is cleaned every nook and cranny is high on impossible.

you will need a customs agent

eori number from gov gateway

no vat if permanently exported

it has to be clean - there are companies at docks that will certify this ( at cost ) but shipping agents can help with all that -

Where are you sending her ??
If its over here then in by NI then usually driven over the border via back roads .
Keeps it is simple and out of of the way of clipboards ...
Mainland Europe. I don’t mind giving her a through clean and I can see the sense in it but I fear some clipboard finding a barley awn somewhere and turning it back at my expense. So I think best not give them the satisfaction. A pity realiy as they could make good use of her and we would all feel we’d done some good but there we are. I’m in talks with others who could maybe help facilitate but if it gets too costly it’s just not worth it. What surprises me is there’s all this fuss over legitimate trade yet we lost £50m kit out of this county alone thought to have gone abroad. How did that happen?

Looks like a non starter. I don’t have time or energy or want to get dragged in.
If it was high value goods it would be worth it.

TBH, since you know what, it’s a ball ache dealing with uk kit now, even the last of my own stuff that came over. It’s hard to imagine how it could stack up financially… oh, and kit here seems no more expensive than uk so I could never understand it… other than bringing over then kit I already had from a previous life. Mind, it was quite simple before, just the transportation to pay for
