Farm Relocation.. planning underway

I suppose this is a bit of a flag wave but we are finally into the nitty gritty of the application for relocation of the dairy unit and farm infrastucture generally..this is REALLY exciting for me but it has been about to happen for over a decade now ! (or more from my fathers point of view)

I would welcome comments on the plans .. and yes there are no silage clamps planned for the site .. hoping to get a hay drying barn tucked in there somewhere along with reduced silage
storage. Plans here https://www.dropbox.com/sh/85y1ckrttglbcb8/AACJ562smO348Jh5AbRZry2va?dl=0

3 robots, auto feed system and auto scrape.. still got a number of issues with slurry management ..but quietly ironing them out.

Fun times ahead!

Made a sloooowwwww start on topsoil clearance.

How come you have put a separate slurry store in as opposed to putting a tank underneath the new shed
Keep the pictures coming it looks smart(y)

Hi
The cost of putting a tank under the shed was prohibitive and we had dug out enough soil/ clay anyway!
My original plan was to have a tank with small channels in the shed- in the end I ended up with much wider channels down the length of the shed. And a big tank..

This has increased my storage capacity by about 24-30% (and delayed the job somewhat).

I don't really regret this extra expense and time because it has future proofed the shed-and probably means that i will not have to buy a roof for my store.
