Shopping in Aldi last night and there were no eggs at all.
Not empty shelves, the shelf space occupied by other goods which to my mind would suggest they’ve been out for a while with no short term prospects of getting some in.

Yet the veg shop in town seems to be able to stock them, perhaps they pay more, perhaps the s,markets are getting found out, Good

I can remember mother oft quoted a saying about Mr colman s profit being left on the side of the plate ,that was in the 60s or the same with the half dozen beans left in the bottom of a heinz tin.

I remember that saying too. And probably true

The supermarkets have found themselves undermined by a "black" market in eggs and I suspect other domestic fresh food products. To blame this on bird flu is simply a distraction and it is 90% their own fault.

Yes, there’s a chap comes to local livestock market sells veg and eggs, I had a tray off him on Wednesday, he said he’s no problem getting hold of them
