Ford 4100 loader

We had a new 4100 with Quickie 2030 loader in the seventies. It was the first tractor i saw with a Bubble Q cab! AS JF850 said we had lots of trouble with the front axle, Bolts Breaking, Sockets from the stabilizer arms breaking and we also had stub axles break. We parted company when it ripped a chunk out of the clutch bell housing where the bracket attached!!
Be a good idea to see if a 4000 / 4600 axle fits..

To throw another spanner in the works.

A neighbour has a Jewellair for 20 plus years. A Ford 4610 with loader , compressor taken off and replaced with concrete block before he bought it .

He replaced its front tombstone/axle assembly with one from a 6610 .
He was breaking a large number of stub axles. Both sides broke on 1 memorable day . The 2nd failing from the shot from the 1st collapse.
His yard would have several ramps etc the time grab wouldnt be over wide but has the 32" tines , and he would often be rushing things , plus I presume spurious stub axles mightnt have the best of stuff in them.

I would count it a last resort to put a front loader on a 4100. Use your rear loader, take it off the odd time you use your saw bench.
It won't be as nice a tractor to drive with a loader hanging off the front.

In the years when we had 3000’s, Dextas and MF 35s or 135s with loaders we used small muck forks and buckets. We didn’t have big heavy silage grabs and big grain buckets or lift many round silage bales and big Heston straw bales. We should not expect tractors made 40 years ago to do what modern machines do, horses for courses. I would imagine a 4100 has the aspirations of a 4600 backend with the limitations of a 3600 front end.
