These are the best prices I've found for Nissan with 5 year / 100000 mile warranty and 2 year / 18000 mile service intervals. I'm aware of the coil springs and towing issues but there are heavy duty springs available along with air bag assist fitments if needed. These Rangers from same supplier appear to be up to 7k more expensive on the higher spec models with just a 3 year warrantyWhere are you getting a good price on a Nissan
I have been pricing pickups and the Ford is only a couple of hundred pounds more than the Nissan

@YELROM, Please let us know your best prices on Ford and other pickups you've had prices on.
That seems a better price comparison than mine although I would think it would need to be the Ranger 3.2 wildtrak to compare with a Tekna spec??.. The 2.2 Ranger would be a similar unit to the 160 hp single turbo engine in the Acenta model.A Nissan Navara Tekna double cab is just over £20,400 and a 2.2 Ranger limited is just under £20,400 before adding towbar etc
I can't comment beyond 2013 model , but they were shocking all as discussed aboveJust wanting to bring this thread back to life; been seriously contemplating a new ranger but this thread is scaring me. Has there been any improvement in new models when it comes to the issues brought up here?
That’s what I’m after. Been warned off by two people so far. Have to say there are more fans than haters. What about the 3.2? I love mine and Ive never been a fan of Fords.
as i understand it the facelift versions have the upgraded oil pump fitted. Which apparently has the same part number as the old pump. Probably as an attempt by ford to deny there's a problem.Just wanting to bring this thread back to life; been seriously contemplating a new ranger but this thread is scaring me. Was wondering about 2nd hand but that’s that out of the window. Maybe lease would be th best option but not keen on not owning my vehicle tbh.as i understand it the facelift versions have the upgraded oil pump fitted. It also appears that the dealers are in denial about issues but i personally know of 2 3.2 and a 2.2 that have had oil pump failure within 10 miles of my farm. All of these failures have been on the pre facelift versions and all with between 60-90000miles on the clock.
Don't be put off the 3.2 ranger is a lovely truck, especially when connected to the 6 speed auto box. That’s what I’m after. Been warned off by two people so far. Have to say there are more fans than haters.
Don't be put off by a used one. Just get the oil pump replaced for piece of mind. that's what a lot of switch on owners are doing. I was going to get mine done once the warranty had expired and had even got a price from the dealer to do it. However i was made an offer i couldn't refuse to replace it so took them up on it.Was wondering about 2nd hand but that’s that out of the window. on the bright side the ranger doesn't appear to fill its sump with diesel or snap in half like some other brands...
