Front axle suspension accumulators.

Mine are in a cluster of three bottles directly in front of and centred on the axle. My steering lock is adjusted to the maximum and lugs run against the loader frame side rails, so I’ve rounded the sharp corners of the rail so as not to tear the lugs. To get the maximum lock, I have 16.9R30 on the front rather than the same profile as matches the 620/70R42 on the back. The front are therefore slightly narrower tyres so as to achieve the optimum lock.

No front linkage fitted. This is the single suspension type of axle fitted as was fitted to all Tier2 tractors [with suspension] I think. Click on picture to expand.

be carefull @Cowabunga thats a carraro axle the pipe from the block to the ram has plenty of pressure in it . i havnt found a way of dropping it out properly yet there is a a plug on the block but it tends to shear off then you need a new block

Hopefully that helps. Need axle number but fairly sure it’s the 0.75 and 2 x 1.4’s on our 7495 so would guess as the same.

An update. Took the tractor in to the dealer with a trailer that had an accident [I drove it backwards over a wall on a strange redundant farmyard in the dark] and left the lot there. Fed up carrying slurry for two long days on 14 mile round trips, which did my back in [again], so I asked them to fit mechanical cab springs and sort the axle suspension. Turns out that chief mechanic did know about these accumulators and gassed them up. Drove it home today and what a difference! The cab has firmer suspension but is all the better for it as it no longer bobs around. The front suspension is back working like new. Absolutely brilliant result and I hope that the gas stays where its meant to for at least a few more years.
