Situation Vacant Full-time Storekeeper required



FULL-TIME STOREKEEPER REQUIRED

Woldgrain is a cooperatively owned grain storage and processing facility, handling a variety of combinable crops grown within 65 miles of Hemswell, Lincolnshire. Current storage capacity is 100,000 tonnes on one site, with planning permission in place for a further 50,000 tonnes of storage to be built.

Due to an impending retirement we have an opportunity for a storekeeper to join our team.

The role will involve:
  • Drying, cleaning & blending grain using a modern, computerised system
  • Loading and tipping vehicles (up to 120 per day at peak of harvest)
  • Repairs and maintenance of plant & machinery
  • Working as a part of a small team
  • Experience is preferred but not essential
  • Full training will be given
The successful candidate will probably have:
  • An agricultural background
  • Good mechanical skills (electrical skills a significant bonus)
  • Good IT & communication skills
  • Telehandler certificate
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, reliable, practical, self-motivated team player, with an eye for detail and a willingness to learn new skills.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
