Get “quick”at reversing if bale starts netting as want the balers arse looking down hill fairly quickly before transfer as if still across a hill bale can end up on a bobbin and if it gets there you won’t like it as bale very likely won’t rotate and wrap may well end up in a single band around the bale. Don’t ever worry over putting a bale out over the back of the wrapper as it’s all but impossible as only ever seen 1 go out over in 100k bales with Fusions and baled some very steep land.
If bale gets onto a bobbin stop wrapper quickly and turn 180 degrees across the slope and try reversing the direction of the wrapper manually via the box as arms may well have jammed so won’t normally carry on in normal wrapping direction but bale will normally drop back into its well within a few rotations . Reversing wrapper will break the wrap but that’s easy sorted.
Fusion must FIT A CAMERA as only idiots don’t as so much more can be seen of what’s happening.
Very steep ground it’s often easier to carry two bales to a safe spot and deposit them there as wrapper is quick so very little time will be wasted.
It’s possible to fit a steep ground kit which some fusions have standard which is an extra bobbin each side of the wrapper which is around £250 from memory and will take bobbins to 4 total.

I take it u can run them fully manual like a normal baler? Going down a slope will it spit bale out into wrapper okay or do u need to turn across hill a bit?

Depends on how steep the slope is. On the really steep bits it won't put the bale onto the wrapper facing downhill, across the hill the bale will turn a bit then won't wrap so you really have to get the wrapper downhill and hope the bale doesn't go over the back roller. You'll soon learn!

It will manage to spit the bale out going down some pretty decent hills but of course at some point you will have to help it along.
And has been said before, a camera overlooking the wrapper should be mandatory!

It will have 2 cameras and the only one u want to watch is the one looking into the chamber. The one on the wrapper you simply will never use. U only watch the chamber camera if your applying NRF and you have a split second to decide if the NRF is on the bale before it transfers. No NRF then switch off the PTO pretty damm fast or spend 20/30 mins pulling the bale off the back of the Baler. It will happen when u become complacent and in wet or damp grass. It doesn't take much for the NRF to go around a roller instead of the bale or even worse make its way down to the augur. If it gets there your situation is worse again as you have the collapsed bale on the wrapper but you now also have to try and get some of the NRF out of the augur and knife bank as it will contaminate more bales. If you can run only net for your clients life will be much easier! Be careful putting oil in the reservoir as if you pour to fast it will overflow very easily as there is a filter there that u don’t expect. Have a grease cartridge with u for every 300 bales and make sure to reset the grease count when u change it. There is a laminated cheat sheet for the Baler so familiarise yourself with it. Good luck, relax and enjoy the machine. sh!t will happen but it’s not going to be the end of the world...is it?

Mickeymatbro I agree with u 100% about the plastic but call me a donkey or whatever but a Fusion is your friend in the field?. New one on order for delivery this month. Will be fun to see if it’s better on NRF. I know you can disengage the knives for the last few meters of grass like the Kuhn so bale will hold together more. Hope your season goes well with the Kuhn. I’m interested to know will the variable valve solenoid go at around 22k bales like it did on the Taarup Bio and how you will fare on resale value.

It was only plastic system that put me off the Mchale and the auger not coping with short grass
And back up ,my 3rd season with it now

It’s good to see Mchale have a bit of competition, no good one machine dominating the market. The only tip I would give with a fusion is spend time at the start setting up the machine to match your tractor so the transfer speed and functions all operate how you like them and are not too aggressive or too slow.

Ball and spoon hitch might be a good idea! Does any know price of tractor part of ball and spoon? Is JD €700?

Can't remember price but I have it for mine. It's great much quieter behind the tractor and the pto pivots properly. Will put a spoon on the tanker when it wears out
