Looking something to pre clean the grain and feed into a mobile dryer. Prefer single phase. But will look at most options. Or something that fits onto dryers main auger.

Thanks

Have a couple of older wooden frame Dressers, and a not too tidy small metal frame one .

That's what I was worried about. I had been looking at these or similar ideas. Basically they are a sieved auger, with a cyclone cleaner at the end. Would they be much use ?

@part timer we had a set like that, used it for years for grain going into bins, did a reasonable job but very slow.
The auger sieve takes a lot of the weed seed out, but the fan was not powerful enough to suck much short straw out.

Change the dryer to one with a cleaning system. My Master drier has a screen on main auger and also top cleaning system. Does a good job [emoji106]
Yes, that would be nice, and on the replacement list. Just not high on it though. I think you could retro fit a system onto any mobile dryer, though the cost seemed expensive for a fan, motor and length of hose.

Eventually put a three screen rotary in between the intake and the cf drier. Between those two systems used Opicos where the screens in the vertical anger took dust and weed seed out. Parked outside working the breeze would take the chaff out but it made a mess in the yard!

Kwik Kleen / Flaman in the US makes a 5 or 7 auger version that looks like an inclined pipe organ.

Pricing a new rotary cleaner in the UK and you'd think they're made of platinum and gold, as selling a kidney wouldn't pay them. I've been looking for a good used multi screen rotary dresser for long enough, like hens teeth

I made one like that it’s amazing how much crap it pulls out

How big a hopper and how far could you travel for one?
Not looking for anything massive, just hold a couple of tons. Something like this but with a narrower bottom and a shutter on would do.

I’m serious considering a bit of a workshop project as it keeps raining!

Unfortunately my old pickups towing days are coming to an end so it would have to go on a wagon/pallet.
